Welcome to Number 10
A very warm welcome to Number 10, our Algarve home that we want to share with you. Our love for the area goes back to our honeymoon in 1991 and was reignited a few years ago when we started enjoying The Campus and building our Quinta friendships.
We hope your stay will be both enjoyable and relaxing (which it won’t be if we are ‘in residence’ with you!). All we ask is that you take care of Number 10 the same way we do — and please note the house and garden are no-smoking throughout.
We recommend reading ‘Your Safety’ and ‘Your Home’ in full — the rest of this guide is for whenever you need it.

Departure day checklist
● Check and double check every room so nothing gets left behind.
● Notify us of any loss, damage or breakages, and the sum you’re transferring to cover replacements.
● Return keys to us as soon as you’re able.
● Garden: bring cushions inside, move furniture undercover, link with the security chain and padlock, covers on unless we’ve said otherwise.
● Rooftop: day bed put together, small cushions in roof storage, large cushions left in situ, waterproof cover on with velcro tight — it gets very windy up there.
● Turn off heated towel rails if you’ve used them.
● Close all blinds, remotes left on their brackets.
● Air conditioning / heating off.
● All lights off.
● Empty the kitchen bins.
● Perishables from the fridge can be left in a bag for Carla — no need to empty it completely.
● Strip beds, leave bedding and towels in the utility room.
● Turn off the Hot Water Circulation Pump in the boiler room (see video).
● Check all sliding doors are locked — roof, bedrooms, ground floor.
● Lock whichever door you’re not exiting by, set the alarm, and leave everything as you found it.
